Project: Southern Sydney Freight Line Approvals

Location: Between Leightonfield and Macarthur, Southern Sydney, NSW

Services Provided: Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs) and Sub Plans, Environmental Protection Licence application, approvals scheduling/planning.

Project details:
The Southern Sydney Freight Line project consists of building 36km of dedicated freight rail track in southern Sydney from Leightonfield to Macarthur along the Main South Line. KMH were engaged to provide the role of Environmental Approvals Manager. Key outcomes of the project were CEMP and Sub Plans, out-of-hours work applications under the Environmental Protection Licence, preparation of ancillary facility assessments, and approvals schedule/planning. In addition, KMH has been involved in the preparation of the environmental transition plan, project induction, contributed to the cost estimates, managed compliance tracking, and the coordination of environmental specialist consultants for monitoring and contamination assessment.
