Project Details:
KMH were commissioned by Liverpool City Council to conduct a water audit of a seven storey, tenanted office complex which included cooling towers. Baseline annual water consumptions were developed and data was analysed for patterns in water consumption. Specific recommendations for improving cooling tower water efficiency was recommended and data logging of the cooling tower was undertaken to confirm cooling tower water usage and losses through comparisons with theoretical computations. Recommendations to reduce water consumption were provided which could be included in water management plans in accordance with Local Council Guide for Water Management Plans. Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) were developed to allow Council to reference performance against known water management standards. (e.g. NABERS).
