Project: Hunter Expressway EMR

Project Details:
The Hunter Expressway is a 40 km dual carriageway freeway under construction between the F3 Freeway near Seahampton and the New England Highway west of Branxton.  The Project will include 53 bridges, 6 grade separated interchanges and 1 km of railway reconstruction.

KMH has performed the role of Environmental Management Representative (EMR) for the Hunter Expressway Project, as required under NSW Department of Planning’s Conditions of Approval, since the commencement of construction in August 2010. The EMR is required to be an independent expert in environmental management who oversees the environmental performance of project for the duration of construction. The role involves review and signoff of management and approvals documentation, site inspections, facilitation of community and stakeholder forums and reporting to NSW Department of Planning and stakeholders.
