Project: Hexham Relief Roads Waste Management Sub-plan

Client: Upper Hunter Valley Alliance (UHVA) and Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC)

Location: Hexham, NSW

Services Provided: Preparation of a Waste Management sub-plan for Hexham Relief Roads

Project Details:
The Upper Hunter Valley Alliance (UHVA) was formed between the ARTC and Leighton Contractors in July 2009 to deliver a significant program of civil and track works on the Hunter Valley rail network between Singleton and Werris Creek. As a sub-Alliance partner, KMH provides UHVA with the Environmental Management Team.

UHVA required a waste management sub-plan to be prepared as part of the CEMP for the development of Five Up Relief Roads (train lines) and ancillary infrastructure and access tracks, and located adjacent to the Pacific Highway and Hexham Railway Station. KMH are part of the Upper Hunter Valley Alliance and was commissioned by ARTC to develop the full CEMP for the project. The works included specialist input from the Waste and Sustainability Group to ensure compliance with the conditions of approval and that waste materials generated on the project were managed in a sustainable manner.
