Project Details:
In 2012, KMH assisted Brisbane Airports Corporation prepare their Waste Management Strategy to accompany their 2009 Master Plan for the redevelopment of the Brisbane Airport buildings and surrounding lands.  The purpose of the Strategy was to bring Brisbane Airport’s waste management and recycling initiatives in line with world-class airport waste management systems. This Waste Management Strategy will assist BAC deliver systems, infrastructure and training that will cater for the waste produced by the 45 million passengers and 50,000 staff who will use BAC’s facilities by 2029. The Strategy includes initiatives and requirements applicable to tenants, Facilities Managers and other service providers that will continually reduce the amount of waste produced and increase recycling rates.  This also has the benefit of reducing the costs associated with waste generation.
