Ken Holmes

Ken Holmes (BSc Industrial Chemistry, MAppSc Waste Management, MBA, RABQSA accredited Lead Environmental Auditor) is an acknowledged industry leader in environmental management and related fields. His career spans 25 years and includes experience across Australia and South-east Asia. Ken’s career started in coal-related research, in the late 80s he worked in the public sector developing environmental policy before moving into senior positions with major consultancy firms.

 

In 1998, Ken established his own firm KMH Environmental providing environmental management and auditing services. Since then KMH has rapidly expanded into a significant provider of environmental services in Australia with offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Newcastle and approximately 60 professional staff. He has a proven track record in major infrastructure projects, managing environmental teams, establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with proponents, regulators and construction teams, community liaison and community program management, construction environmental management and planning and construction approvals.

 

 

 

Geoff Mance

Geoff Mance (BSc, BEng, RABQSA accredited Lead Environmental Auditor) is a Company Director and Principal Consultant at KMH Environmental. He has over 15 years of professional environmental-related project experience.  During his career Geoff has worked in a diverse range of disciplines that includes environmental planning and management, environmental auditing and risk assessment, development, implementation and monitoring of environmental management systems, waste management, preparation of corporate environmental reporting, environmental training and education, environmental impact assessment, water and air pollution control engineering and contaminated site assessment and remediation.

 

Over the past 10 years he has been heavily involved in the fields of environmental approvals, construction environmental management and environmental auditing (compliance, due diligence and EMS).

 

 

Matthew Janssen

Matthew Janssen (BEng, Advanced Dip. Sustainable Business) has fifteen years experience in environmental management of major infrastructure projects and businesses in Australia, the United Kingdom and continental Europe.

 

Matthew has worked in a wide range of industries and sectors including development and construction, healthcare, education, defence, water and manufacturing. While working in Europe for seven years, Matthew successfully developed and delivered sustainability strategies across a programme of major ($500k to $2b) infrastructure projects worldwide, incorporating environmental, social and economic issues. Matthew returned to Australia in 2009 to lead KMH’s Construction and Infrastructure and Environmental Management Services Business Units.

 

 

Richard McAree

Richard McAree (B.Sc, CIWM, C.Env) is the Business Unit Leader for Waste Management Services. He is a waste and environmental management professional of 18 years’ experience with ‘hands on’ expertise combined with a good strategic appreciation and vision. He takes a logical and methodical approach in the strategic design, procurement, delivery and monitoring of waste  and environmental infrastructure projects with a proven record of success. Richard has significant expertise in project management and direction, waste management strategy, infrastructure and service procurement, environmental planning and assessment, and waste management technologies.

 

Richard leads a professional group of waste consultants currently delivering projects across the public and private sectors including Federal, State and Local Government, waste & manufacturing industry, Mining and Oil & Gas.
