National Australian Built Environment Rating System (NABERS)

NABERS ratings are a mandatory requirement for all commercial office space over 2000m2 under the Building Energy Efficiency Disclosure Act 2010 (Commercial Building Disclosure – CBD). The new Building Energy Efficiency Certificate (BEEC) regulations coming into effect from 1 November 2011. This requires building owners to submit an energy efficiency report and an assessment of tenancy lighting when leasing or selling the property.
