Environmental Management Representative (EMR) Roles

The Environmental Management Representative (EMR) is responsible for ensuring that companies and their contractors comply with the mitigative measures and safeguards documented in their Environmental Management Plans.

The EMR will regularly monitor the work sites and where necessary, can issue a recommendation to stop work if an unacceptable impact on the environment is occurring or is likely to occur.

A well-suited management representative can help to ensure that systems are focused on the needs of the client and that the work of implementing an effective system gets done in a timely manner.
