Auditing
Environmental Auditing helps assess compliance with regulations and licences, identify environmental risks and assess the performance of Environmental Management Systems.
Management system audits establish the effectiveness of environmental management plans within an organisation. The audit will determine whether the correct systems are implemented and they are achieving the environmental objectives.
Audits are also required by the conditions of an approval, licence or regulation and need to be performed by an independent auditor. These audits are often reported to government agencies such as the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water (DECCW) for conformance to the approval, licence or regulation that they have issued.
