Environmental Reporting

Reporting is often fundamental to organizations to showcase commitment, communicate internally and externally their accountability and to provide benchmarks against which environmental performance can be improved.  Whilst the impacts of untimely, incomplete or inaccurate reporting for voluntary undertakings are largely limited to reputation loss, there can be severe impacts in the case of mandatory reporting such as fines, heightened regulatory scrutiny or ceased operations.

KMH assists our clients with the preparation of :

  • Mandatory reports – such as those in response to legislation including:
    • Council & EPA approvals and annual returns;
    • Construction approvals and returns;
    • National Greenhouse Energy Reporting System (NGERS) and OSCAR;
    • Energy Efficiency Opportunities (EEO);
    • EREP (in Victoria);
    • National Packaging Covenant/Inventory (NPC);
    • Environment Protection Licences (EPLs);

  • Voluntary reporting  - such as those generated to demonstrate:
    • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and triple bottom line (TBL) commitments
    • Compliance with National Built Environment Rating System (NABERS)
    • Greenhouse gas protocol
    • Compliance with GreenStar
    • Compliance with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
