Project details:
Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) are responsible for managing over 10,000 kilometres of the National Interstate Rail network, including 650 kilometres of regional rail links in NSW and the 310 kilometre Hunter Valley Coal Rail network.
As part of the Upper Hunter Valley Alliance, KMH undertook a Part 3A Environmental Assessment for an additional third track at Nundah Bank. The third track would increase the coal carrying capacity on the Muswellbrook-Werris Creek Line. The services provided include:
- Scoping and preliminary environmental assessment including confirmation of the Part 3A approvals pathway;
- All community and stakeholder consultation throughout the project;
- Co-ordinating design and engineering processes with environmental approvals required eg geotechnical, survey, etc;
- Engaging and project managing specialist consultants as required for the EA;
- Environmental assessment and submissions report;
- Undertaking a project wide environmental risk assessment; and
- Managing landholder and land access approvals (where required).
