To mark International Women’s Day (IWD) this year, KMH staff chose to contribute a range of gifts to donate to a local women’s refuge. The gifts included a variety of self-esteem boosting, pampering products and other gifts, from makeup to facial masks and treatments, flip flops, nail kits and even vouchers for jewellery. Rather than only celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women in our society on IWD, we also wanted to recognise that, unfortunately, there are still women in our society who are abused, suffering violence and intimidation in their daily lives – and that they are not forgotten.

KMH will keep in touch with the refuge coordinator and look for other ways of supporting them in the coming years.
