The KMH Environmental team "no Carbon Footprints" has reformed and will be competing for the 6th time in the Sydney Trailwalker event, this year aiming for a sub-19 hour finish.

In addition to competing in the event, KMH is working with Oxfam Australia to ensure that the 2009 and future Trailwalker events are more environmentally sustainable than ever.

The Oxfam TRAILWALKER Sydney Event Coordinator, Andy Mein, said "Oxfam TRAILWALKER is very pleased to announce that KMH Environmental has partnered with us to undertake an Environmental Sustainability Audit of the 2009 Sydney event and will continue to work with us every year to progessively minimise the events environmental impacts".

KMH will determine the events Ecological and Carbon Footprints, develop a Sustainability Action Plan, examine electricity and gas consumption, waste generation and management, recycling, travel and transport and water use. In addition, KMH will help to develop programs for sustainable product procurement and purchasing, sustainability education and awareness and management, and minimisation of direct and indirect environmental impacts, such as trail damage.
