At KMH Environmental we’re serious about reducing the impact of our organisation on the environment. That’s why KMH joined CitySwitch Green Office in January 2012. As a CitySwitch Signatory, we’ve committed to maintain a 5 stars or higher accredited NABERS Energy tenancy rating. KMH Environmental believes that being a signatory is more than being a good corporate citizen; it’s an initiative important to all of our staff and we’re helping our employees identify environmentally sound practices at work and home.

CitySwitch Green Office is a national tenant energy efficiency program run in partnership between local Councils and State Government agencies. The program works with tenants to improve office energy efficiency, thereby reducing the CO2 emissions that contribute to global warming. One of the main reasons for choosing this way to save energy is that tenants can influence up to 50 percent of the total energy use in office buildings.

NABERS is a voluntary environmental rating system for office premises. NABERS Energy assists owners and tenants in understanding their energy use and greenhouse emissions. It benchmarks a building’s greenhouse impact on a scale of one to six; one star being the most polluting and six stars the least.
